APC 40. Out of the box, is it child's play?

Can I recommend it to a 10 year old?

Some of you know I am a private music teacher. I have one kid who really should be a DJ, not a drummer. No kidding here, just mad on turning knobs and blinking lights and wearing headphones, has 2 working PC's in his room that he can quite easily make his way around (Win XP), and parents who don't mind throwing around lots of dough. With something like the boxed version of Intro, how hard is it to get the APC 40 working as a clip launcher with a few filter effects? The plan is to see this kid once a week for 'lessons' about using Intro and the APC. What are your thoughts, child's play or planned disaster?

The APC has an APC version of live that it comes with that essentially gives you full functionality of live with the APC. All a younger child would need to do is download a live pack or two to play with the samples and the APC. Some features may be over his head...but so long as hes not color blind he could use an apc.
