Hi
I'm happy to announce a new and free Max for Live device for your APC40/20: The APC FX Sequencer
Check out a first tutorial video from AkaiProEU to see what the device does:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pRcj3XfFkw
If you like it, you can download the device here:
http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device.php?id=879
For non-APC owners: You can use the Audio Effect Rack presets that come with the device (but you won't be able to edit the sequences). I will try to add more presets in the following updates.
Enjoy!
Best,
Mark

Hi Mark,
looks like a great tool that could easily replace a lot of glitch tools.
Unfortunately I have a problem with it: the devices that I'm dragging to the right of the APC_FX plug-in are not recognized.
I also tried your presets - same problem. All slots are empty. I'm using live 8.2.6 on a Mac.
Any idea?
THX a lot in advance,
Rob

Hi Rob
Which Max version do you have installed? 5.1.8 or higher?
Best,
Mark

Nice video bodo!
I hope other users will also post some videos showing how they use the APC FX / Step Sequencer.
One small advice which is also mentioned in the manual: If you use Audio Effects that buffer audio like the 1st and 3rd effect in your video, choose to control the "Dry/Wet" parameter, instead of the default "Device On" parameter, because most effects don't buffer audio while they are turned off.
Also, Beat Repeat does work much better if you control the parameter "Repeat" (and set "Chance" to 0%), which will allow you to control exactly when and how long the Beat Repeat effect should kick in.
Looking forward to seeing more videos from you!

This device looks really nice, too bad I don't have an APC but two LPs...
I haven't looked at the patch yet, how much programming work would a fully functional launchpad-version need?

Mark!
This is brilliant. Along with your previous Step Sequencer. Simple and intuitive is what we need on the APC40. Visual Feedback movement flow on matrix grid = hands on!!
Keep up the good work!!
