Not to sound rude mate but you wont get followerd by asking people to join your fan page, real fans will eventually hunt you out by lisetning to your music and then finding out more, getting 10000 people to join because it helps you out wont help progress your music career any futher, it will just end up like one of them i have 600 freinds on my myspace page am popular kinda thing but not knowing anything about each other :?

Sorry im defo not trying to be rude or nasty, just trying to give good if not hard love advice, that it is wrong way to go about doing it, so please dont come and get angry its just trying to help, ignore or listen thats all coool to me dude 8)

But whatever you do good luck ofc, its hard launching yourself as a musician to the whole world, how you do it can save alot of time and makes all difference to the outcome.

:) dont worry man everyone is same to different amounts its all good  .

I dont really know what to say because ive never released music myself as in from a self made record label though i know alot of people do in dance music particulary, just use to signing tracks to the normal labels and getting the poor 10p royalitys per download as usual lol.

Hmm a company called labelworx can distrubute your music via a network system that involves a paid subsription to the service, where by you realise a track it automatically gets sent to the major djs who play in trance music, house etc and then can be picked up for a demo.

Ofc that sounds perfect but the chances of that demo coming from your own label at moment unheard of, and a track comign from armada for example, they probably wouldnt even bother lisetning to it, knowing how it works.

Personally i would do it the hard way that takes longer and concentrate on your music, be a artist first and get a reputation as a good producer something im still trying to do and a looooooong way from being perfect but learning, and then once you got a following and then concentrate on that, but have some experience getting music signed to some of the normal labels and get the shit royailtys like i do, sure its better payed for better labels ofc, but it gives you a platform to go from, a big question you could ask yourself is why is my music not been signed by any labels?, if you have sent demos out, or some people can sign there music out and just decide they dont want to receive the crap royailtysyou get from most labels etc.

Personally i would concentrate on your music, get some djs to play it for exposure and go from there, and leave the label side for much much later, it takes longer but actually will be shorter and more successful at end then the way you doing it, thats only thing i can think of saying to you mate :/

Sorry i couldnt help more and dont lisetn to me if you have real feeling it can be worked with your own label always go with your instincts and find out your way, im just answering what i would do if i where you :)

I recommend reading up on social media marketing. This is an excellent book to start with:

There is a "link your music" page on the forum. I would try that to get some honest feedback also.

Best of luck to you!

I gave up this years ago, it's like a wasteland in there!

When the time is right, you will hunt down the knowledge to expose your music, and people will be coming to you as well. If your "dream" is success, without a bigger mission / reason, and without "payin' your dues", you won't have full and complete feedback, understandings, knowledge, connections, resources, confidence, comparisons, inspiration, disdain, etc. needed to take on an industry/internet/scene. Get involved with your local scene. If the music sucks there, be honest about it to everyone. If you are not ready to play out, don't let yourself, even if others want you to. Not everyone knows what they are talking about. Some people will book you when you shouldnt be. Others wont because you are steps beyond. Meet normal people. Inspirational People. People who love music. Good music. That have standards. Disappear into a basement for tens of thousand of hours. Stay awake for a week or two. Meet crazy people. Meet spirits. Don't get stuck on one machine or piece of software or Genre. Have a higher standard than most.
Nature takes care of the rest. If you decide to let it to.
