Hi all,

I have recently purchased a TASCAM US-122MK2 soundcard for two main puposes - connect active monitors and to connect the iPad to connect to the computer as an external audio input. The plan was to use the djay app to scratch on samples playing live on Ableton. The problem I have is that the audio from the ipad sounds glitchy and skips. The connection from the ipad to soundcard is through 3.5mm to 2 channel mono 6.35 input cable. The TASCAM soundcard is connected through USB 2.0.

Tascam provide a zero latency software setting on the control panel which has five setting option - lowest, low, normal, high and highest. I have tried them all but it has made no difference to the sound quality.

I have also used a freeware software called DPC latency check and the latency is all in green bars and it says I should have no problems streaming audio and video.

I must add that Ableton is working fine from the point of view of playing other audio wav files.

I am running it on a PC speced Dual core 2.6Ghz, 4GB RAM, 320Gb 7200RPM, Nvidia GeForce 7300, 1 TB external HDD

Anybody running a similar setup have any ideas where to take this as I am new to all this. Questions, feel free to post.

Thanks a lot

Sorted - I had not chosen the right drivers in the preferences in Ableton. Works perfectly now.
Thanks to myself I guess.
