two questions on production

1.In a lot of dubstep-ish type songs you hear a kick drum, then it repeats immensely for the drop or transition. how do i make that, sort of like a riser.
2. If I have two clips in arraignment view, one is 126 BPM and the other is 150 BPM, how do i transition so right after the 126bpm clip the next clip plays at 150bpm, just so i don't have to make my entire song at one bpm.
Thanks!

1) many ways to do this. in a live situation, you have a kick loop or drum loop and have the loop end point set to a midi controller knob and set the grid on the clip (bottom right corner) to 1/16th or 1/8th or something. now you can twist your knob to make the kick repeat on 8th notes for a measure, then 16th notes for a measure- instant stutter build. or, in arrangement view, you can copy the kick notes and paste them on a 8th or 16th note grid to taste. or you can paste the kick notes in the clip. or you can have different clips with different loop points arranged in the track.
2) are you talking about transitioning from one part to another and they are at different tempos? if so, look at page 259 in the live 8 manual about automating the tempo.
