Can my PC Laptop slave to G5 OSX Pro Tools via USB?

I just read an interview with the guys from Garbage, and they were bringing in their ideas for songs each day, and I think they just hooked up USB to their laptops and were able to slave their ideas to the main Pro Tools rig?
Anyone have experience or ideas about making that work?
But they are probably on G4 laptops, instead of a PC laptop, like me.
