Can I make session view play at same time as arrange view?

I want to set a scene playing on session view then switch over to arrange view and start playing an audio track at the same time but I want the audio on the arrange view to play so I can move stuff around ( I cant seem to manipulate audio on session view).
I cant work out how this is done though. I can see the the red button with three stripes and an arrow is on but when I press this everything in audio starts playing...
Can anybody help?
