Crash reports - Do people bother sending them?

I never get a reply

Lately i've had a few projects refuse to open (lost some music :( )

I always send the crash reports. but never get a reply?

What the correct way of sending them?
Are they a useful feature?
Do people get a response from sending them?
"Plugin Delay compensation -PDC WARNING - Ableton Live 9 does not sequence all information correctly in time"
The bigger the project the more out of time it will be.

I send crash reports to help the devs out, but I don't get (nor expect) a response.

I figure if they need more information they'll get in touch with me.

I never expect to get a response from the dumps, I don't think that's what they are for. I assume that they collate the results and try to find commonalities and similar user actions which lead to specific fails.
The outcomes just get included in bugfixes.

interesting comments

Interesting poll results so far

I managed to retrieve my work. it was an errant plugin (I renamed the plugin folder to "VST plugins renamed" and it loaded)

This was probably showing up in the crash log, and the info as to which plug would have saved me a few hours work. but hey.

I wonder how many crash log they receive?
Is there a way we can read them?
