out of sync recording?

In Live 7, when there are some heavy plugs and I want to record its clip onto an audio track, the material can be very delayed, even by 250 miliseconds.
Delay compensation being ON, I would expect virtual stuff to be fully compensated, after all, it is not hardware, which leaves the computer.
The same occurs when I put TapeIt2 recorder at the end of the fx chain.
What is this delay caused by? It seems as if Live were not in sync with itself
Is there a solution or a workaround?
