Sidechain Compression with VSTs

I just bought Compassion!
Sounds really nice - but... I'm unsure how you side-chain with this VST compressor...
I've used it in logic and it gives you the Bus option - is there a similar option in ableton?
Thanks

Nope - the equivalent in live is just for native live plugging.
Instead you have to route an audio track to the key input.

How do you set this up in compassion? I take it you just point compassion at the relevant audio channel you want to use for sidechain?

the other way around, you point the output of an audio track at compassion's sidechain input

You can route the Audio To of the track, but that only works if you don't need to hear the key trigger sound too. I often use a send/return setup, with the output of the Return Track routed to the SC input of a Compressor.
Cheers,

Thanks for the info, if found the inputs and outputs on the top right of compassion, but how do i actually get these to show in audio to - within ableton?
Could you provide a step by step in how i set this up? would be really helpful.
Thanks
