Intro

Hi everyone I'm new to the forums here and ableton live in general, well, music production in general.
I recently took it up and found extreme interest in producing my own music, the endless possibilities of this form of producing just were so appealing.
Anyway, I'm trying to learn on my own and have watched videos and read stuff in order to get the basics down. Now i'm kind of taking the learn as I go route since that's the only one that makes sense right now.
There's two things I want to learn and have been unable to find appropriate material on:
One- I just made a tune and when I record it into arranger in order to get the song down and all, and export it into wav, the song is cut off at a really crappy point. Like, the ending of the song is precisely where the last clip is ended. The last loop is a basic piano melody that has quite a bit of chorus and stuff and therefore it rings out real nice at the end. But it's cut off. So I wanted to know how to I make the ending of the tune stretch out past what it initially exports as so that it gets that nice faded ending?
Also could anyone help me find any material, or help me out themselves in order to learn how to map out the knobs and faders on my mpk49 to the specific parameters I want them to be at? The setting i put it to is live obviously, but they kind of just automatically program to what seems to be random parameters within an effect or instrument. Sometimes I want to change this move them around.
I guess this would apply as well to this concept, so i'll ask, but I also want to know if there is a way to program drums to the drump pads of the mpk49 while using another instrument, say a piano for example. Like being able to play the piano on the keys and have the drums programmed to the pads so i could have access to them anytime?
Hopefully I can gain a ton of info from this place, or wherever you guys/gals recommend. I appreciate the help and if I happen to be in the wrong section I apologize, it seemed like it was the right one.
EDIT: I have clicked on the midi button in the top right corner which then tells me to click on something and move a knob or button in order to program it. But this doesn't work. I've tried doing this. Just an fyi
