Edirol Audio Capture FA-66 problem
Posted: Wed Oct 12, 2011 8:50 am
I have Edirol Audio Capture FA-66 audio card.
PROBLEM: I hear clicks when I set or even normal small buffer.
To get rid of clicks I have to use largest buffer. I can hear clicks also while playing music (from internet browsers, media players etc). Previously I had M-Audio Audiophile 2496 and I had no such problems.
Additional info:
- I set sample rate to lowest (44kHz)
- I have 2 core Intel 3GHz processors
- I have Windows 7 64-bit
- I tuned my system for audio-processing (bios, drivers, I measured latency, I disabled non-essential processes, drivers, I prioritized backgound services... )
- I connected the card using 4-pin connector (smaller one - but manual says that the only difference is that 6-pin includes power).
- I have Texas Instruments firewire controller
thank you in advance for any help,
