hi i'm a noob and i suck but here goes.

in arrangement view, i have an audio track with amazing audio. then i add an effect on that channel and want to record automation. how do i do that without overwriting the audio in the process?

beginner question i know.

Hi 501dubz. to record things like automation hit the global record button only and don't have any of your tracks armed to record. When an indavidual track is armed to record it will over write its audio or midi clip data and that's what's flowing you up.
