APC40 ghost midi data

Hey there

I've so far been happier than ever with my current setup with Live and APC but last night something weird went down.

I'm in the middle of a large (60 tracks) project mixing it down and I suddenly see the APC40 Device knob 5 jumping on small increments turning an fx device on and off. I thought it was accidental automation but there's no automation on that channel whatsoever. I select another channel and a similar thing happens with device knob 5. Whats even weirder is that I had an EQ8 on a channel where APC wasnt even mapped to the freq values and one of the freq "dots" was slightly moving around all the time.

To confirm the issue I opened up a new project with smaller amount of plugings and channels. Similar experience.

I'm running a win7 and the APC is connected to a power supply that came with the package and the device is in a usb hub. Other midi devices running in parallel include maschine, line6 footpedal and midi guitar. I've always kept the APC40 turned ON as it seems to know how to go to "sleep mode" by itself once Live is turned off. I did turn it off last night and tried it this morning and for that 5 minute session I didnt experience any weird fluctuation anymore - could be that or my APC40 is falling apart?

I know there are a coupla threads about similar issues on here but I dont think the usual suggestion to change the power supply applies as mine seems to be solid and not connected to the socket with an adapter.

Any other wild ideas as to the culprit?

edit: I'm also running Hanz Petrov's midi remote script for the APC if its of any relevance here
