Midi Sync delay

Hello all,
I have a problem in syncing my external hardware like synth,s to the sequencer in live 4.1. This does not do anything. For example when the sequencer plays the midi notes the audio from the synth is to late entering in audio to Live.
I read more about these problems, Ableton is working on it. But how change this, I think we need a midi note delay setting. Maybe I am wrong, I am now only 3 months into this midi thing.
But for the time being, how can I solve this problem now, take an external sequencer? And which one then?
Hope to get reactions

almost same issue with my setup...
my problem is : when i record midi from my groovebox for example, it's recorded a bit too late in live. and the same when i re-record the midi from live into my grooveboxes. the "delay" is around 1/2048 measure (you can't hear it in fact, but i'd like a perfect timing)
the only solution to minimize this delay, is to have the minimum latency on you soundcard and search with the sync delay in the preferences until you are almost in time
how much latency have you got ?
PS : hey a guy from alicante ! mi familia vive en murcia ! hola colegua

Hola,
I am not spanish, just a foreigner living here.
Which latency you mean. When I send the notes from the Live sequencer to the hardware the audio is 0,57 ms too late.
My audio latency I tested as written in the manual, and is perfect.
I told you I am not a pro when it comes to midi, but we all started one day.
Greetings

with a latency of 0.57ms, you shouldn't hear any difference...
i was talking about the latency you choosed in the control panel of your soundcard
in fact, i can't really help you, i haven't tried to bounce the audio from my machines, so i haven't noticed this problem... the only thing i've tried is using live as an effect device, and there was no delay at minimum latency
i reassure you, i'm also a beginner in midi

i've encountered problems with midi latency, which I traced back to the midi output on my soundcard (firewire 410) I switched to an EdirolUSB 1 in. 1 out device and there was no latency at all. Try your external gear with a different midi interface and see if there is any difference.

good idea but... actually i'm using a midisport 2in 2out in USB 1, otherwise i can try with the midi ports of my soundcard... so exactly the contrary !

Oaky, but why is this sync delay setting not working at all in Live, no matter what you change. Is it because of Midiclock only?
Thanks

I am using midisport 2x4, and I believe that my soundcard Digi002 with the midi can NOT be used with Live. Or am I now totally LOCO.
