Ableton Forum

Hello! I am not sure if this is an issue with Ableton or with my audio interface but I was hoping somebody could provide me with some answers. I am trying to record audio from a Yamaha MM8 keyboard in Ableton but I can't seem to get the volume to a desirable level. The MM8 is plugged into an m-audio fastrack ultra BR via two line inputs(L and R) and I have the volume cranked all the way up on the keyboard. The signal is then routed to a stereo channel in Ableton live. The problem is that even with the gain cranked all the way up on the channel the level is audible, but compared to the output of audio from a midi channel in ableton it is very low. As far as I know, turning up the gain on my audio interface has no effect on a line input. Can someone please help me out!? I would appreciate it very much!
