Connecting two audio clips - this is probably an easy one!

Hi All,
I master and edit a lot of DJ mixes and I do this in the arrangement view.
I often cut out bits of audio clips leaving two separate clips separated by a gap that I then want to nudge back together. I currently drag the clips back together manually, but this is time consuming. Is there a quick way to nudge two separate bits of audio back together, removing the gap, in the arrangement view?
Thanks in advance. I'm probably being a bit silly!
Kind regards, Simon

If there is I haven't found it. This feature proves very useful in Sadie systems.

Save some time and select the piece you want cut, then CTRL-Shift-X.
Then Shift-select the 2 remaining pieces and Ctrl-J
Ctrl-Shift-X (in Windows) = Cut Time
Ctrl-J = Consolidate
Also handy shortcuts for making new loops in Arrangement to bring back into Session.

Hey, thanks for getting back everyone.
Just to be clear, I don't want to merely consolidate the audio sections. This is because I've edited out a bit of the audio and so there will be a blank gap between the two sections. If I consolidate the sections then the blank gap will appear in the mix. I need to move the section back to exactly join the other audio section, and it's fiddly because I need to zoom in to find the exact point.
I want to avoid having to zoom and just automatically move a section of audio back to the end of the preceding section of audio. Hope that's clear. :0)

Try the above:) Ctrl-Shift-X
When you cut your selected area, it won't just delete that section, that shortcut, "Cut Time" will also cut the space where the cut audio was, bringing the audio before and after the cut section together automatically. Then all you'dd need to do is consolidate.

What shadk312 suggests should do what you want at the point of edit rather than being a clean up process afterwards so long as you only have the audio you want to edit at that point in the arrangement
