We have developed the sound system of the 21st century.
KINETIC MUSIC is different to anything you have heard before.
All musical styles are compatible with this system.
Download the application for FREE and create 5.1 moving music.
......... SPACE IS MUSIC .............
KinTool 0.1 is a tool that allows the sound to move in a MULTIPHONIC SOUND SPACE.
- 24 channels
- Sequencer to write spatial events
- Screen to visualize spatial movements
- The sound source can be reproduced by:
- External source: Rewire (LIVE, REASON ...)
- Internal source: Audio Files.
- The loudspeakers distribution is organized according to the height of the listener and at about a height of 20 m.
- The audio output can be independently configured, it admits between 4 and 13 loudspeakers.
- The spatial event does not depend on the configuration so the same spatial configuration is useful for all the configurations.
- Spatial configurations: 4-1, 4-1.1, 4-4, 4-4.1, 5, 5.1, 5.1-st, 6-1, 6-1.1, 6-4, 6-4.1, 7, 7.1, 7.1-st, 8-1, 8-1.1, 8-4, 8-4.1, in- out
.......... see you in the space .........

You may wish to change the whole spaceismusic .. arty farty lines with something a bit more meaningful in what this is and how it works.
some case examples of practical applications would be nice too...
call me an idiot but it looks like a badly drawn DAW to me..
(im just g'ing you up with these statements.. hope you actually do add some more info though)

OK sweetjesus, here ya go, you're an idiot.
(EDITED to add emoticon that would have prevented the next couple posts. Y'know, i knew there was a reason for those things... )
Looks interesting to me.
clearly not a DAW at all since it does not record and sequence sounds at all. Just places sounds in space.
I'll try it out later tonight in our surround sound suite.
thanks for the app.

hi leisuremuffin, I'm trying a tongue in cheek attempt to get the guy who made this to put some more info so his product gets a bit more attention rather than an ambiguous line.
To be honest, I have re read the site and other than some very vague idea that its for positioning sound, I still don't get a clear idea of what it does and how it's useful to me.
As for your comment about it not recording and sequencing, it clearly states:
"Audio recording in different sample rate"
and
"Sequencer for spatial events"
So it does record sound and sequence something to do with those sounds.

no problem here, we're all good.
anyway, yeah, it does seem to do some audio of its own, but it is mostly for placing audio from other sources in space (4.1, 5.1, 6.1, 7.1, 8.1 etc. etc.)
Very cool, this means if we have an audio interface with multiple outs, and also enough speakers and amps we can make our own surround environments.

I may try this too if it works ok on PC.
We have 2 Dynaudio BM15a's and KRK V8's and a couple of genelecs floating about, I hope the unmatched sets can provide some relatively accurate surround experimentation possibilities.

Hello sweetjesus
It's not that easy to define a feeling,
much more difficult to explain it to someone who hasn't experienced it.
And paradoxically, very easy to understand it after having felt it.
Kinetic Musis is so.
-if I tell you that sound can move in space...
you'll answer: yes, and what?
-if I tell you to move it continuously and separate/differentiate each audio track
you'll answer: what for?
What for?
-to get a new percepcion of musical hearing....
And I dare to say that this new perception will generate a new language...
And I dare to say that "Kinetic Music" will become, in the future, a new law of musical composition.
Greetings

So what you're saying is that it's a rewire-able 24-channel surround mixer that modulates the position of the sound in various ways?
I like academic language, but not for something like this. It's a fancy panner! Period.
-oh, and some words like "for OSX" would be nice. If I had a g5 and a need for surround fun, I prolly wouldn't mind the time-wasting, thoug.. It looks like a decent piece of kit.

Why cant you just use multiple sends and multi outs of your audio interface to do the same thing in live?
Also, honestly, I like specs and numbers too. Fluff hippie talk makes me think scam, and doesnt really make me want to whip out my credit card or load beta software onto my machine.

and how would you pan between the 5 different speakers using just live??
you could assign individual sounds to different speakers, and even use sends to mix it, but it wouldn't be easy to create motion.

well, unfortunately, i'm too tired to stay at work to check this out in our surround room, but, i will say this:
At the very least, this can be used as a surround matrix for live. Thats pretty cool.

Does it give my 2 channel amp surround capabilities

You'll really want to edit that website a bit.... I know where you're getting
the design ethic and have read the same books.... but it really doesn't do
that well. There is nothing for Google to chew on, it sees you are "Untitled
Document" with no text.... Nothing for people to find you with. Sure you
may be marketing through forums and such, but people casually check
then come back later... often after forgetting the domain or where they
heard about it. You *really* need to be on Google.

hi,
Focused software in the movement of the sound in the space does not exist.
Test to move the sound in the space (ejm. 5.1) with LIVE (or another one):
- 10 tracks of audio independent.
- 10 routes different for each track from audio
- in 5 seconds.
It is a heavy task
----------------------------
Soon in Windows XP, be sure, 2 months.
