TAL Noizemaker - Ableton won't see it

Hi all,
Firstly, as a newbie here, a massive thanks for this fantastic community, full of information!
Now, I have just moved to Ableton (SWOOON!) after 11 years of using everything but...
And I downloaded the TAL Noizemaker and placed the .dll file into my VST Plugin folder, from which Ableton picks up all of the other VST, plug-ins etc.
However, the TAL is not recognised.
I have Sylenth and Massive, but I really want to use the Noizemaker, for its crunchy phat sound.
And I have placed messages, scanned TOGU's pages, feedback etc, but the guys just say "it works fine on my Ableton"
I use Ableton 8.2 Suite and a PC with Windows 7 64bit.

hi
maybe you have downloaded 64 bit version of noizemaker. as live is 32 bit you should stick to 32 apps for now. hope that helps.

Not sure what your issue is (64bit is a good bet), just wanted to confirm that I have NoiseMaker (32bit) working just fine in Live.

Hmm...I have placed the 32bit DLL file in my vat folder and rescanned. There was no setup/installation process.
Alas no joy.
Grateful for any tips.

...and for what it's worth, live didn't see the Linplug Alpha either. And yes, I have triple checked my vst folder location on the PC!

Just downloaded the 32bit version, installed into C:\Program Files (x86)\VSTplugins (my 32bit vst directory), and it showed up as expected.
Live Suite 8.2.5

Just to clarify, what does " install" mean?
I unzip the 32bit folder and there is a DLL file which I paste into the folder(?)
There doesn't see to be a setup/install process.
Again, apologies for what seems like a tedious first topic...

Have you tried holding 'alt' before pressing the rescan VSTs button? Forces it to do a full rescan.

Sorry, I meant I just dragged the .dll into the directory.

...and it's strange you had to do a full rescan. I guess it didn't know the location...
