Recording live changes to the sampler position

I'm wondering if there is a way to, if I'm recording with Sampler, to record the changes I make to the sampler point. Like, say I load a really long sample and move it around as I'm playing notes on my keyboard to change which part of the sample I'm playing, is there a way to record those changes? Because right now it just uses the last point that the sampler was at instead of recording all the points that I changed during the recording.

Does this make sense? I realize this is kind of a silly question but it would help me a lot to figure this out. thanks.

I wish this was available...sadly there are some super awesome parameters in sampler that just can't be automated. No clue as to why...

Ah okay.... one way you can kind of do this is by playing with the Aux Envelope in the modulation tab. If you route the envelope 100% to "sample offset", give the envelope a long attack time, and then automate the "initial" value of the envelope (which is the start point for the attack portion of the envelope) then you should be able to automate the start point.

Also I just remembered...you could use simpler instead of sampler because there is a Sample Start knob right on the interface which can be automated.

Thanks, not exactly what I was looking for but a decent alternative.
