Problem when running custom scripts

Hey guys, I have a feeling there may be a very easy fix to this that I am just to stupid to find but I am about to lose my mind so I just gave up and decided to post it. Whenever I am running custom scripts such as Seppe's MPD24/26 control script, or the LiveControl TO script for TouchOSC, it seems like whenever I do something within my project on my laptop, my ability to control with the midi script completely disappears. I don't know what to do and I'm gonna shit a brick soon so if someone wouldn't mind helping me out, LOL.
