8.2.6 Any way to export separate clips from the same track?
I have a laaaaarge audio file cut up into separate chunks in arange view track 1 and I'd like to export them as separate files, not one long one ie export regions. Is there any way to do this in Live?

You could put your cut up regions/clips on to individual tracks, then open the export audio/video dialogue and select tracks in the export command.muthafunka wrote:I have a laaaaarge audio file cut up into separate chunks in arange view track 1 and I'd like to export them as separate files, not one long one ie export regions. As far as i know there is no short cut for being able to send lots of region/clips to separate tracks, so if you have hundreds you should probably get your self a cup of tea or coffee and some biscuits to help keep your energy up while you do it.

Thanks HB, you got the gist of what I was looking for. Dragging separate files into 300+ tracks ain't happening though, neither is exporting one at a time. Time for some external auto-slice.
Thanks again
Thanks again

"Freeze" the track and then "flatten" it. Also there will be a folder called "Freeze" containing all the individual clips in your project folder.

two ways:
I can think of two ways:
consolidating:
select a clip, pres ctrl-j for consolidate. this will write a new file containing the selection.
Bad news: you have to do it for each and any of the slices, one by one.
freezing:
first you need to drag all your clips from arrange to session view. select all, then hit tab, drop them on an audio channel. then rightclick and freeze.
Make sure you don't have anything else on that channel, as it will get frozen as well.
you will find the resulting files in the project folder/samples/processed/ ...

I did this but it only gave me the full songs. My workaround was:pepezabala wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2011 5:38 pmfreezing:

- highlighting all the clips in session view
- right click > Crop Samples
- New folder appears in project folder called "Cropped" with all the individual samples cut at their respective times!
