Hi, I'm a very slow Live 6 user and have been experiencing an error message when I've tried to 'organise' my files. I'm told that Live cannot deal with "NESTED" files .. ???? I don't know what I'm doing!
Help ... I need explaining as one would to a 3 year old who's just fallen off his tricycle.

I've got a macbook now on osx Leopard (10.5ish) and I've been saving my bits n bobs on my formac external drive, to save me clogging up my laptop ...... in the past rather than automatically backing up my files, (cos I don't know how to do that) I've been saving them myself by year ...... now I've got Timemachine?? .. backing things up for me perhaps it might be a little more organised ???
I don't get it..... also it can't find my plugins??? ..... any patient help blissfully apreciated. KW

I feel like a victorian chimenysweep amongst nasa astronauts!!! .....

Live cannot handle nested project directories - is this what you mean?

Basically if you have a project folder (containing one or more .als files and folders called Ableton Project Info, Samples, etc), this cannot be placed inside another project folder. Also bear in mind that the Live library is treated as a project folder, so this cannot contain any other project folders.

The library contains all of the content (presets, samples, etc) that come with Live/Suite. You can save your own stuff in there as well, but I prefer to leave the library as it is and save my stuff elsewhere.
