Hey everybody. I'm currently working with vocalist first time in my live. So any help will be apreciated, I want to do some cool effects, but unfortunatelly youtube seems to have only "backward_spooky_style_trick" vocal tutorials. So if you have any links or something, please help me. Thank you!

Maybe pitch automation?
Select your audio clip and toggle "show/hide envelope box" to show it. Then click on transpose. See what you can come up with.

What type of "cool effects"? Vocoding and pitch shifting seem to be all the rage these days which is just playing with these effects until you get something from it I guess.

The small experience I have had with a "Decent" vocalist (hope none of my rapper friends read this) was done in Cubase because it was the style at the time and the best effect I got was simple layering and backups with just a small amount of reverb. If you have someone that has a good voice, that should be all that is needed. The rest is a good recording of that and good mixing. Once you start getting some layering going it really starts making a difference.

I guess though if you are looking at something different you could try and throw in a modulator, bit crusher, chopper, distortion amp (great for making it sound aggressive) etc. Just throw your track on and chuck in an effect and start tweaking. Make several streams of the same recording and place different FX on each track and switch between them to hear the difference (or try and mix them). Keep one track as a raw track (no FX) and add send FX from the main track with different panning mixes.

There is loads you can do but everyone has a different box of tricks they like to use.

i would say just experiment. either insert or throw a bunch of fx on a return, and start tweaking.
