Hi i have recorded a vocal sample clip ( only about 3 seconds long ). In the arrangement, i want the sample to begin off-beat. ( between two beats)

how do i set this up?

do i leave a silence gap at the begining when recording the sample clip to compensate for the delay i want,

or is there a way to position the sample to start off-beat in the arrangment?

You can add silence to it through consolidation. This only works if you not going to change the temp if you are then you are better off creating a silent clip with play next as the follow action and have it set to play for half a beat before it triggers the vocal sample.
