Hey guys,

For some reason my computer has started to switch to the basic colour scheme when I start Ableton.
I need the Aero to be running as in basic mode the audio glitches out.
This is a pain in the ass. Any ideas why it has decided to start doing this?

think what you've changed..
did you update your g.card driver lately?

if you can't remember you can always opt to use "system restore" ..roll-back to an earlier date..

Thanks for the system restore reminder. It seemed to do the trick, although I am still unsure why it did it.
Could it have been a Windows update?

almost same problem i have

windows 7 ult 64 bit
sp 1
ati 6970 most recent drivers
i7 860 cpu
12 gig ram
ati rampage extreme 3

i can not turn on aero
if i remove service pack 1 all is fine
though i don't think it started when sp 1 got installed
i'm stump on this one

i have dual monitors
if i use them both one blanks out randomly
so i have been using 1
i don't know if removing sp 1 fixes this

...my bet would be the ATI driver..
I'd advise against removing SP1
