iMac Newbie M-Audio Fast Track 8R and Ableton Live 8.2 Help

Hi Guys
I have been an Ableton Live user since its first Conception but always on PC's
I been through several systems and several soundcards during my the time of producing music.
I recently got an iMac because all my friends and coloberators use Logic so I saved up money and got a beefed up iMac
Current Specs: iMac i7 3.4GH Processor with 1TB HDD, 2GB Video Card and 32GB or Ram (im running Omnisphere hence the high Ram upgrade) Running OSX Lion 10.7.2
This is purly a MAC intended for my Music Production Studio Nothing else
I'm using an M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R USB 2 Sound Interface.
Here's my issue and please excuse my ignorance but i never used an Mac before and my friends dont use Ableton
I installed Live 8.2 and upgraded to 8.2.6 when I go to my music tab I can not select the M-Audio driver it does not even show up in the option menu .. all I get is "No Audio" or "Core Audio" which i believe is the internal SoundCard Driver .
My Fast Track Ultra interface shows up in the In's and Out's Tab but its not showing up in the driver window
I still get sound through the Soundcard but the latency isnt as good as on my PC
MY Questions:
1) Why dont the M-Audio Drivers Show in the Devices Tap?? are they supposed to show ??
Other software like Propellrheads Reason 5 and Garage Band have no problems picking it up.
2) Is this normal .. should the the device show up? ..I have the latest drives from M-Audio site I believe the latest Fast Track Drivers are ver 2.1.1
3)is this an issue with Lion because its fairly new ??
4) Should I be worried?
Again sorry if any of those questions seem dumb I just didnt own a mac since the Perfoma 250 and been a PC user and still am for the last 15 years
Thanks In advance
