Samplers LFOs to controll sample start- weirdness

Sometimes it only effects the sample upon release, sometimes not at all and sometimes all the time as expected. I cant put my finger on whats up. I use the random on the LFO often and it just doesnt seem to work right. Is it user error or a bug?
