MIDI stops working after about 5 minutes of performance!

so anyway i've been setting up for a live performance, but the bloody MIDI completely stops working, Track and Remote after about 5 minutes, restarting live fixes the problem, but it then drops out again after 5 minutes, any ideas on what is causing this problem? its extremely frustrating, using a 32-note CME Universal Midi Controller, need to fix this one quickishly

3 years later, and nobody has tried to help you. Nice.
I have a very similar problem. Midi just stops working sometimes...maybe once per set...onstage, live, in front of 6,000 people.
I've monitored midi with external software, and I am getting midi into the laptop, its just that Ableton stops receiving it. Playing the laptops QWERTY still works, too, so its not that Ableton has locked up. It just stops getting midi.

I have also some problems with MIDI since when I'm not sure.
I've never used to had MIDI problems but recently my MIDI input doesn't work anymore. It's send notes randomly and notes OFF seem not to be read so notes keep sounding.
Very strange, maybe it 's since Live 8.3.3.
I'm going to rollback to 8.3.2 to test.
