How can I Trigger a note on key release??

I need to find a way to trigger a sample on release of the keyboard note. I'm triggering one guitar riff on note on, I need to trigger a second on note off. Can anyone tell me how to set this up??

Use the midi effect 'note length'. Possibly in a rack as a layer.
