I recently re-applied my OS (Win7), then re-installed Live (intro) from the install disc. I never got a prompt for a password key, though after set up was complete, it did something like "search for authorization" (don't remember exact phrasing).
Currently Live is installed and I can choose specific midi instruments, but the standard options where I can choose track channels or to arm specific tracks are not available. I've attached a screen shot to demonstrate what I'm talking about (one version with drop down select, one without) as well as what my Preferences & Midi Sync settings are.

-Using just my computer keyboard as my controller, but would like to use a midi keyboard I have that I was having trouble getting recognized before I re-installed the software.
