What midi notes make live change scene up/down?

The Tranzport uses the wheel to change scenes.

To use the wheel to change scenes though, you have to be set to the correct page.

Changing pages involves holding Shift + Track Select < > (from the tests I've done using my Launchpad, it seems that I have to hit the direction arrow twice to switch to each page)

Pages are:
1 Scene select
2 Channel Volume
3 Global Loop Start
4 Send

The 'Shift' button is C#8 or C#9 depending on which note conversion you use. (another one that was not mentioned before is Undo- E4/E5. Shift+Undo=Redo)

Jog Dial is CC#60. 01-63? are clockwise, 64?-127 are counterclockwise rotations.

Holding Shift while on the Scene Select page, and adjusting the dial also lets you adjust the tempo :)

Thanks.

I was sure there was scene+ and scene-. If there isn't I guess I will think of Mackie, because I have no wheel to spare.

On second thought, I am fairly sure my padKONTROL script uses Tranzport. I will midimonitor - it may be the solution - and write back.

I used my Launchpad to do it using Automap. Assign a pad to cc 60. Normal min 1 max 1. Assign another pad to cc 60, min 65 max 65. Should do the trick :)

Since it can second as a tempo function (when shift is held), you may want to try higher values. Right now it would move in increments of 0.2 bpm I think. If you use something like 4 and 68, it might be adjustable at increments of 1 bpm. Something like that. Some experimentation may be needed

That's cool, because Automap is a newer script, not soon to be abandoned like tranzport. Is there a list of messages in Automap CS and what they do in Ableton?

Automap is not Ableton related. It is software for Novation devices. It basically is just an editor for assigning parameters to your buttons/faders/knobs.

I am sure that your nanoKontrol has an editor to work with that allows you to edit your functions.
