whenever i turn the volume to max or high on my headphones, the audio sounds as if it is clipping, when the levels are well away from clipping. the audio is sounds a bit staticy and distorted. i know it's not my headphones because i compare it with other tracks (non-professional ones) and they're clear and much louder than mine. any way to fix this, or what i should watch out for?

eqing or compressing only either further quiets my track or messes with the overall sound quality. lowering the volume would make it even more quieter than it is.

thank you, any advice would be appreciated as i'm having a hard time finding a solution to this problem.
