I was really impressed with some of the music I heard today from Bassnectar, but unfortunately, there aren't really any tutorials online on how to get his sound. Does anyone know? How does he make his synths sound so 'live'?

I don't think you can really find a how to make a "Bassnectar Synth" video online like how there are loads and loads of Skrillex tutorials out there. I honestly have no clue how he makes his sound, its part of the reason that Bassnectar is so friggin amazing.

My guess is there's a heavy amount of resampling going on, if you're unsure of resampling you can check out a pretty wicked 3 part series by Durk Kooistra.

Bassnectar is the standard we should expect from dubstep, but that’s before every artist who does dubstep took a big steamy shit on the genre with their bare minimum effort tracks.
