APC40 FADER DEATH

following a not too recent accident with some beer, faders 4-8 on my apc40 are non functioning. Everything else is ok except these faders. Moving fader number four also changes the data coming from 5, 6 and 7

what I want is to disable all the faders so they dont send awry data when I'm trying to mix. Can I do this in ableton somehow? or is there a way I can assign them to something else not used without moving the faders...

any help greatly appreciated

If you can get them to sit still long enough to assign them, you can use quick mapping to assign those faders to something unimportant, such as macro knobs on a rack device with nothing in it, on a track you don't care about. Quick mapping assignments override default mappings, so this should effectively neuter your faders.

Of course, the real solution is to get the APC40 fixed. And also to get more beer to replace the beer you tragically lost.

I'm not sure I understand... if they don't send anything at all, doesn't that mean your problem is solved? The goal was to get them to not send anything.
