Ableton Forum

Whenever i try to click and drag a simpler rack or a drum rack to get an emty rack it doesn't work.

Making it a little harder to watch the tutorial videos on youtube, since most of them require you to click and drag to make an emty drum/simpler rack.

Help is this a bug problem? or is there something i didn't download?

What do you mean by it doesn't work? Do you get an error? Or doesn't it appear?

Perhaps you are using Ableton Lite or Intro? Drum racks aren't included in these versions.

If you do have full Live or Suite, try dragging just the Drum Rack icon to a blank space in the session view.

I have ableton live 8.2.5, and i tired dragging just the drum rack icon to a blank space. It just doesn't work.

Hmm, it's a long shot but if you're running Windows try running Live "as administrator"... IE right click it and select that option.

Are you dragging the rack into a blank slot in a track? Is it a midi track, not an audio track?

i tried a different version 8.2.2 and it worked when i first opened it twice but then it stopped.

and it wont let me click and drag a drum rack anymore. Is it like an option in the reference section or i hate this so much ugh!

Apparently i can only go to Live Device browser and drag the Racks, if i go anywhere else it won't work.
