setting up external channels

HI Folks 
Firstly Merry Christmas,the big day is approaching too fast,he ,he
Ok just set up my Reason 6 Redrum via rewire, to play via the external instrument in Ableton,all fine .I can see my midi editor with the labels describing all the available sounds within my Redrum device ,ie snare, etc etc
Set out my beat,all good
Ok just done the same thing except this time with Kong,went into my midi editor, all I can see is the octave ranges,but no labels! For the Kongs pads,to show me what is on each pad
Is this me,or is this unique to Rewire,or is there a way to show labels for Kong?
