Ableton Forum

So, the gist of it is - when I click Live Devices, I have my main 3 folders (Midi effects, instruments, audio effects) but when I click them, nothing happens. I'm dying to get going with Simpler, but my devices are non existent. Please help, I'm new to Ableton. I've already tried library repair btw.

Hi there

Ok you have to drag your devices onto the arrange view,which will open up the devices,the instruments,say clik on the folder and it will open up,again drag onto the arrange view

Noob question, but where am I dragging devices from if there aren't any in the list

Are you sure, you "opened" the folder (i.e. "Instruments") by clicking the small arrowhead?
Did you load devices before? What changed since then?


Otherwise I think you will have to relocate your Live Library in the preferences or reinstall it.
