Hey guys/gals, I've been using Ableton for a year and I've decided to organize my ALS. Files . I went through and started deleting the garbage and renaming the good files so that I can remember what is what. Now when I go to the files that the names have been changed a lot of the clips and samples come up missing. I had not done a Collect all and Save and when I use the Ableton Auto-find (clips samples) nothing comes up. Is there an easy fix or am I screwed. ALSO does anyone have any good organizational tips so that I do not run into future problems???? Thanks and Happy Holidays

I can at least offer a tip from now on.

Don't use your operating system finder to rename samples that are used in Live projects. You usually can't go wrong if as long as you rename things within Live's browser. If you do it that way, Live remembers what you've done & it will automatically rename the .asd files along with the audio files. I don't even think you need to have the sets open which contain the samples while renaming. That has been my experience at least...
