Editing Will Marshall's APC40 template?

I'm using Will Marshall's latest APC40 template and I have no coding experience with regards to midi translation,
but I'm looking to change 2 of the dummy clip tracks into normal tracks to up the normal tracks from 4 to 6.
Is there any way to do this with just basic midi mapping does anyone know?
