ever see the Live GUI?
'vintage mode' - now that's some great marketing, carrying their history of quality forward. wonder what they do.

If you look on that same page, it does make mention of two other products. One being an iPad app, and the other is presumably Maschine Mikro: Akai Edition. We'll have to wait a few hundred hours for the next video.

looks like fun...but i don't want more production software. I just want a more integrated live controller.

You can't mention about GUI in this forum.

YEP, or more practical solution for integrating what I already own.

If it runs standalone, like a real MPC, then it's got a real chance of whupping Maschine. I know a lot of people who didn't jump on Maschine because it doesn't work without a computer. If this has the best of both worlds then I think there's a big chance it will be a game changer. Fact is, a lot of people are sick of being tied to the laptop. If you can head downstairs and fuck with this at the dinner table/in front of the tv, then head back up to the laptop to finish the job it will appeal to a lot of people. (I know the point of a laptop is that it's mobile but let's face it, they're not really that mobile at all).

Everything I'm reading tells me it most definitely is not standalone. That "fusion" seems like an unbreakable bond between "legendary MPC layout" and "the power of your computer". I'm also assuming it doesn't host vsts.

i bet that we will see this thing able to integrate with Live. same number of knobs as the apc40 and multi-color illumination on the pads for clip status. all you need is for that display to show Live's macros, faders, clip names, waveforms and blam! a new Live controller.
