Ableton Forum

When I go to ableton live preferences, and go to MIDI sync, the input and output section of the control surface are greyed out, and under MIDI ports there are no options. This means I can't set the Launchpad as my controller. Any help as to why this has occurred?

Many launchpad issues come from a "bad" USB port. MAybe try another one, preferably one directly connceted to your computers mainboard (real panel).

Is the launchpad properly connected?
Did you try reinstalling the software?
