I want to learn more about stereo widening techniques, and the best-sounding of ones I've tried so far is using the simple delay. Generally I duplicate the track I want to widen, pan one all the way left, the other all the way right, and throw a delay on the group with 0% feedback, 100% wet and delay one side about 8 ms.

I'm how wondering widening techniques are used particularly in rock music. It sounds to me like the guitar playing chords is spread to the sides, sometimes choruses sound like they're set different than verses, can you set the duplicate tracks to say 30L and 30R things don't get muddy on the sides? Answers to any of these questions would be great or just hit me with a link where I can read about this shit.

Could you elaborate a little more on what you mean, specifically about stacking fx in parallel?

reverb too has to be part of the recipe imo

+with your 2 duped tracks, try setting the track delay on one at -10ms and the other to +10ms

The simple delay doesn't let me delay any less than 1ms.

track delay is on the track itself, at the bottom...the row of lil circles along the lower rt side of the gui, the 'D'
