Control resolution of UI objects?

Hi all,

I am well on my way building some nice tonegens in M4L, but now I stumbled onto a problem that I have not found a solution for (tried googling & searching various forums already):

I am using live.dials in native mode (ie. native "raw" float range of 0. - 1.), and for some reason I cannot map 14-bit MIDI control onto them?

My controller transmits 14bit CC, and if I try to map a knob straight into a live.dial, it refuses to accept a 14bit input (upon mapping it shows "Absolute (14bit)" on the screen for a sec, but almost immediately changes back into "Absolute")??

One way of getting around this has usually been assigning a parameter to a rack knob and MIDImapping the rack knob.. This works for 3rd party softsynths like u-he Diva etc. at least.. But it doesn't seem to work for my M4L device. The end result still sounds like stepped-ole-7bit MIDI CC.

I am thinking that the object parameters in the Max inspector might be the solution, unfortunately the infopage that contains the M4L object param reference is not too verbose on the matter (I mean, it states that I can set absolute and unipolar etc. values? Hey, I already knew that, tell us what the various modes mean dammit :) )

Any help on this would be much obliged.

Cheers
