What is the ideal buffer size for your live sets?

Thanks

there is no simple answer to that question. the 'best' buffer size depends on your computer, operating system, soundcard, drivers, your Live set, plugins, etc.

the 'best' buffer size is generally considered to be the lowest you can go without causing glitches in the audio (which gives you the lowest latency).

however there is no point going as low as possible just for the sake of it. if latency isn't an issue, then bump the buffer size up a bit to give your system more headroom before it craps out.

ok, thanks - any indicative numbers?
