I would love to be able to use my mouse's scroll wheel in the file explorer or what ever it's called...the thing to the left where we find our samples.

This would also be useful in the scene selection area when I have hundreds of clips loaded. :)

All these things already work. At least with my setup. WinXP, Live 1.5.2, Logitech Mouse. No funny mouse drivers.

it depends on your mouse driver, not on ableton

well i use a Wacom tablet with the 3 button mouse w/wheel. it doesn't work for me in Live. works fine in Reason though. i think it has to do with the fact that Live uses it's own GUI and not the Mac scrollers. i have to disagree with you. i think it has everything to do with the app. i may be very wrong but i can scroll in almost every other app i use.

Hmm... seems to depend on the plattform you're on. It works for me with one of these cheapo MS-mice on Win XP Pro. But from time to time, mostly after doing some copy and paste in session view, I don't seem to get the browser focussed anymore, I have to use the scrollbar again. Must be a bug.

Dunno what it is like for OSX...

hi ya
just to add,i have one of the logitech trackball mouse varieties and the scroll works a treat for file browsing etc but the parameters of the instruments/clip settings/fx/levels etc dont seem to respond to the scroll wheel and it takes a L click/drag trackball movment to adjust these settings unlike in SX......

OSX/Microsoft Explorer trackball scroll works fine here, but the pointer has to be over the files and folders in the browser, not over the browser's own scrollbar.
