never use turntable in my life ever , tho i got some really amazing record and i don't want to convert them to mp3

so could i use turntable with ableton ? im using the saffire pro sound card - since i dont know how to route turntable

That's how I did it with mine last time I tried it. Seems to work okay although the levels were a bit low.

I didn't seem to have any grounding problems or anything.

What turntable model is it? Chances are, if it has RCA outputs and a ground wire, you'll need a Phono preamp to get it sounding right. The phono preamp both rises the level of the phono line and applies a very steep EQ curve known as the RIAA curve, which compensates for its inverse being applied during the record cutting to reduce bass and add highs. So, if you just raise your phono line with the Saffire Pro gains, you'll get a very thin sound.

DJ mixer Phono inputs do this, so you can use oen of those, or you can get a dedicated phono preamp. Something like the Behringer Microphono PP400 would do, but of course, there are better, more expensive ones.
