Adjusting the tempo causes samples to lose their settings!!

Already posted this once....need a reply ASAP (got a gig in 3 days!!!)_ Basically the problem is this; when I adjust the tempo at any point in a live set, at the beginning, during play or after stopping, all of my samples in the hardrive lose their warp and tempo settings. They work fine upon startup with the default tempo, but as soon as you adjust it it's game over. It seems that when I set the bpm below 100, all samples lose their settings, however if I change the settings to 100 bpm or over, they seem to be ok....most of the time. This is HORRIBLE! This started happening yesterday after I had installed some new updates for the Mac. (Probably related, but why????)Does anyone have any suggestions...ideas...answers? I'm running live 4.1 on a fully updated iMac G4 1.2 GHz.

Hi Jaybone,

what exactly do you mean with "loose their warp and tempo settings"?
Do they sound different or are there some settings where you "see" that the clip's tempo or something else is changed?

Actually I sent Christian a zipped set with a couple of samples to hopefully illustrate the point. I set the looped warp setting in the preferences and now the samples maintain their warped and looped state, but still when I adjust the tempo during a set any samples introduced to the mix will not play back at the new tempo...instead they play at their original tempo, but with the original tempo setting listed in the sample display now changed to the new tempo of the set. This means that the new sample can't match with the old ones previously introduced at the beginning of the set. (Does this make sense?) Everything was running smoothly until I last updated my ibook, and I have since updated to Live 4.1.1. Whats up with this bug?????? Thanks for any help...gotta gig in coming up!!!

Hi Jaybone,

You managed to create loops which are not in sync
with the global tempo. You´ll hear this if you switch on the
metronome, it will drift away...

The loops I am using were all professionally created and from sample disks. They were all working perfectly until this week....but when I think about it I had played with the metronome before starting a set once, and maybe that was the beginning of my problems. Also, I noticed that this problem mainly occurs when i drop the tempo to 100bpms or lower...if I drop it to 110bpm the samples maintain their global settings, but at 90bpm their original bpm settings in the sample screen change to that of the set bpms....so strange! Is there some way to reset the program to all of its default settings? What do you suggest?
