sorry, this seems to get ableton attention these days
contrary to their "send to [email protected]" solution:
i'm still very surprised to see this bug present in the current version 4.1.
when i have Live set to EXT it receives MTC from my other system
and operates fairly well with the odd skip in audio (probably from too small of a buffer setting, that' fine)
but when i open another file (song) that has EXT enabled, the file plays back at a different speed (as though it was clocked differently)
i have to turn off EXT play the file for a second, then turn EXT on again
and the file plays back/slaves correctly.
this has been going on since version 2
and;
i've noticed another bug that has been present for several versions:
when i enable EXT and have live slave to MTC
some audio that has been recorded plays back with skips and bumps.
if i de-activate WARP on those clips the problem goes away.
or disable EXT. (it's not buffer or clock, i've already tried that)
and btw,
the squeky wheel gets the oil
