Basic stuff. Cutting up a sample and triggering the pieces

Hey all,

I don't know why I can't figure this out but...
I recorded some audio off of a movie (dialog) and loaded it into sampler. I know how to chop it up into .adv files and load those pieces into Impulse where I can play them like drum hits.

But how do I chop up a .wav into smaller pieces that are also .wav/.aif so I can drop them into different clips on an audio track? It seems like I'm stuck with .adv.

Basically I want to make a track that's a column of dialog pieces that I can trigger from the Session grid on my Launchpad, I guess you would call them one-shots.

Thanks,
Andy

i would put the full vox sample in a clip

hit ctrl+d...X # of times

set a different start point in each, or crop em how you want

map to each clip..i guess that's auto w/ launchpad

set global quantize to none

bam
